Christina Barr
An award-winning videographer, Christina Barr is known as a powerhouse in the political world for her creativity and arsenal of talents in writing, design, editing, and music as the Creative Director for the Michigan Republican Party.
Born and raised in the city of Pontiac, Christina was brought up with an understanding of how important it was to be an active member in her community and in her father’s church. Aside from being a minister and engaging in local outreach, she has traveled on the mission field with her family.
As a young author of ten published books and founder of Ninja Dust Publishing, Christina has traveled the country and given talks at churches and schools to encourage entrepreneurship, particularly in the African American community.
In 2009, Christina co-founded a popular web show, The Gorgeous Geeks. During that time, she and her two older sisters traveled the country, interviewing the hottest pop culture celebrities and icons, while garnering the attention of mainstream media sites like Time Magazine.
In 2014, Christina ran for State Representative and Congress in Michigan’s 14th District. In August of 2015, Christina was hired by the Michigan Republican Party to be their Creative Director. Her responsibility was to develop concepts for graphics and videos and create them. One of her most iconic videos is “Hillary 50 Reasons”, which has over 875,000 views on Facebook. In 2016—an election only won by 10,000 votes—it drew in donations and volunteers, on top of being highly persuasive.
Christina currently serves as the Coalitions Vice-Chair of the Michigan Republican Party and is working on her goal of completing 30 books by her 30th birthday.
